Facebook is celebrating its 6th birthday with a brand new redesign homepage. The website’s new face is being steadily rolled out today and many users should have some access by tonight.
The new format focuses more on search and real-time chatting by showing a list of friends who are also online. The focus of the site shifts also onto the left side of the page, with most links on side bar.
Privacy settings have been adapted to allow users to prevent others seeing their applications use.
Applications and gaming are being pushed as a new way for users to interact and find new information from each other. As gaming surge on the website, new games and applications shortcuts will be available. Much of the focus will be on more use of applications and real-time updates on what ones your friends are using.
