Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik getting married in April

Sania Mirza getting married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik in April is confirmed news now! Shoaib has also tweeted (shoaibm6) about his marriage:
“Thanks for all your support. And the news of Me marrying to Sania is true. Inshallah will get married in April.”

Real Shoaib Malik is not on twitter.

Announcing her marriage with Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik on April 15 in Hyderabad, tennis star Sania Mirza said she would retain her Indian passport and play for India in the 2012 Olympics for the country. Flying back to Hyderabad after a visit to Delhi where she secured visa from Pakistan High Commission for going to Lahore for a reception, she declined to go into "uncomfortable" details about where she met Shoaib but said she knew him for last seven years.

She made it clear that they would settle down in Dubai which she called a "home away from home" and just three hours’ flight from Hyderabad.

Basically, Sania snubbed whole India and went to Pakistan for her Mr Right….shame on her! I reckon Sohrab, to whom she was engaged earlier is far better than Shoaib, atleast he could speak correct English and is an Indian. Nothing bad in getting married across border but still I think India and Indians can beat everything and everyone. Well, let’s see if a confident and shorts wearing girl can survive in Pakistan?

News is Sania and Shoaib Malik is going to live in Dubai after their marriage. And they will continue playing for their respective countries from Dubai.

Shoaib, 28, has pledged Sania his support: “I fully understand what it takes to be an international sportsperson. I’ll support Sania in her career as long as she wishes to play. Representing India at the 2012 Olympics is very important for her, and I will be the proudest husband if she can win a medal for her country.”

Sania said: “My wedding is going to be the biggest day of my life. I have been under constant glare of the public for too long and would appreciate more privacy at this very personal moment in my life.”

Sania and Shoaib have been in a relationship for the last 6 months and it is believed that the closeness with Shoaib may have led to the disruption of Sania’s relation with Sohrab. Shoaib’s mother met Sania’s family in Hyderabad and finalized their marriage. Sania’s and Shoaib’s wedding will take place in April (date is not yet confirmed) and the Walima reception will be hosted by Shoaib on April 16 or 17 in Lahore, Pakistan.

Big question is, what happened to the girl Shoaib married over the phone or Internet, as rumoured? Shoaib Malik was earlier engaged or married to another Hyderabad girl, Ayesha Siddiqui.

Looks like Shoaib has got the penchant for Hyderabadi girls!
