The unverified takeover rumor of Rediff.com by Internet giants Google and Yahoo are milling around the internet. The rumor came from the HIndustan Times, who reports  â€œUS-based Internet giants such as Google and Yahoo are eyeing Rediff.com India Ltd, which runs one of India’s most popular consumer Internet portals, for  a possible acquisition”. The Hindustan Times quotes “investment banking sources” saying that the management of Rediff “was in talks with the global companies for a negotiated takeover deal”. The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed former Australian fast bowler Geoff Lawson as their new cricket coach at press conference in Karachi today whereas BCCI is still looking for the options after being declined by Graham Ford . Board chairman Nasim Ashraf told a news conference that Lawson had been preferred over two other short-listed candidates, Dav Whatmore and Richard Done.
