Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2 – Good Bye Aadesh Shrivastava!
October 7th, 2007
One down, eleven to go! Aadesh and Tina said bye-bye to JDJ on Saturday night. It was the first elimination round of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and somehow I knew Aadesh will go, but I feel sorry for Tina, she really had hell with arrogant and stubborn Aadesh. According to the rehearsal clips shown during the show it was obvious that Aadesh was not co-operating at all with Tina. She was the only one choreographer seen crying and upset, thanks to Aadesh. Well! He himself did agree that he has never listened to anyone in his life and that he was very arrogant with Tina. Poor Tina was crying like a baby on the stage, When Rohit declared they were out. She will hate Aadesh ...

Castrol Awards for Cricketing Excellence - What is it all about? But I think it is just a matter of time, very soon you will see lot of awards cropping up in Cricket as well. Apart from Special Awards, they mainly present three awards  which are : Castrol Indian Cricketer of the Year Castrol Junior Cricketer of the Year Castrol Lifetime Achievement ...

Salman Khan is 2008 wax statue at London
October 1st, 2007
I am not sure but the rumours are that our Salman Khan is been selected for 2008 Bollywood celebrity wax statue at London’s Madame Tussauds. I still have my doubts because there are no updates on Madame Tussauds website. Anyway I am very happy for Salman Khan. All the people who voted for him must be very happy to see their super star next to Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan. Reports suggest that the wax statue will be ready for display by January 2008 and Salman will personally go to London to unveil the statue. Bobby Khan, who is in-charge of the Bollywood gallery at the museum, has already spoken to Salman Khan. A formal letter is on ...

First performances of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2 and its Rocking!!!
September 30th, 2007
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2 is Wow-Wow!!! To start with, I would say JDJ have a beautiful and huge stage, sone pe suhaga is their three beautiful, talented and talking sense Judges. By “talking sense” I am try to point out the judges we have on Nach Baliye 3 this year, I mean there’s no mazaa in their comments for the contestants. Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2 have a beautiful combination of six girls and six boys stars and choreographer as their contestants. Only hitch is that “chole-bhatura” (Mona Singh) on the stage hosting the show. I personally never liked her, I was shocked to see her win the JDJ first season, Shweta Salve was the best – in looks, in dance and also she has ...

Week 2 of Nach Baliye 3 – Rakhi is back!
September 29th, 2007
2nd week of Nach Baliye and its still “Thanda” in Malaika’s style. Really, I am missing Malaika and Saroj Khan very much. I think instead of Isha Koppikar, the Nach Baliye team should have picked Sridevi. This year it’s No fun at all!!! For price money of 20 lacs and chevrolet car, the couples have to put extra efforts. It was a Fusion theme for the performers. And also today it was a repetition of last two Nach Baliye, first when Kiran Janjani forgot her steps like Varun Badola in first season of Nach Baliye and second when Jodi No. 5(Vikas Sethi and Amita Sethi) did their dance act exactly like last years Manav and Shweta Gohil. Same stone image concept and ...

September 28th, 2007
OK, let’s help our four Indians, now living in China, Meena Barot (35), Prithviraj P (40), Vipul Joshi (27) and Senthil Nachiappan (37), to become Olympic torchbearers for the Beijing Olympics at the opening ceremony of the games, from August 8 to 24, 2008. Atleast one of them should hold the Torch on behalf of each and every India. The contest Expats for Olympic Torchbearers is organised by Lenovo, a personal computer manufacturer. The advertisement says: Lenovo Group along with China Daily will launch the Lenovo-sponsored Olympic torchbearer nominee selection among foreigners living in China, in an effort to seek people who embody the Olympic spirit of constant exploration and striving for ...

Joke of the day – Shilpa Shetty arrested!!!
September 27th, 2007
Yes it’s a joke, how we Indians portray ourselves in modern world with a very open minded attitude. Where we appreciate a women talking about Aids (Shilpa Shetty) in a huge gathering of truck drivers, and on other hand we try to pull her down and insult her by calling her an uncultured Indian, whereas its not her fault if she was kissed (on cheeks) by Richard Gere. Is she not already embarrassed enough by that kiss? We really are a bunch of hypocrites. Shilpa Shetty shed tears after being stopped at Mumbai Airport by immigration officials who had no record of a Supreme Court ruling which overturned a ban on her leaving the country. They said she was still wanted ...

Shameless Limelight Hungry Politicians Hijacked Victory March and Celebrations
September 27th, 2007
Moment of Glory for men in blue hijacked by BCCI officials and Politicians. BCCI Officials and Politicians made it like a Political Rally, what was meant to be the felicitation ceremony for the Twenty20 World Cup champions. It was expected that Dhoni and his boys would take centrestage, but BCCI officials and Politicians placed themselves on the front row, completely overshadowing the proud winners of the trophy. If that was enough, RR Patil and Sharad Pawar started glorifying Maharastra in their speech, as if it was Maharastra team who won the world cup. RR Patil went a step ahead and said, "Sharad Pawar should be credited with the victory". Someone should ask him, "Did he select the team or he bowled out Pakistanis in the Final?" ...
