Less is more so keep it nude, ensure that your makeup doesn’t get washed away with the humidity.
- Consider switching to an oil-free formula during the summer months or dilute your everyday foundation with an oil-free moisturizer. This lighter coverage will fare better when temperatures heat up.
- Wear a lipstick that will last, alternately use a lip liner under your lipstick. Keep lips protected and moisturized. Use a lip balm and moisturiser that has an SPF factor and consider switching to a moisture-rich lipstick. If possible go for lip-gloss.
- Apply your SPF moisturiser to a clean face and allow 10 minutes for it to absorb before applying your foundation.
- To make your eye shadow last through the day, wear a nude colour base, then apply some powder and finally apply the eye shadow. If it’s really hot and you don’t want to go to the effort of applying a full make-up, a touch of mascara and a little eye liner will open up the eye and bring your face to life.
- Moisturise your face and then apply a blusher. For Indian skin tones, peaches, old rose and brown tones look the best.
- Battle summer blemishes with a superior night time treatment so there’s less reason to cover up come morning.
- Resist the temptation to reapply unless you feel it absolutely necessary. Reapply loose powder only. Pressed powder has the tendency to cake and clump when hit with moisture.
- Invest in labelled sun glasses to protect your eyes from sun rays.
