The first YouTube Music Awards aired live across the internet, the hosts Jason Schwartzman, 33, and Reggie Watts, 41, presented the awards from Pier 36 in New York on 3rd Sunday night. The 90-minute live event included performances from Lady Gaga, Eminem, Arcade Fire, Avicii and M.I.A.
The hosts presented awards in seven categories, giving winners a small, shiny, YouTube logo.
The "live music video" performances included Arcade Fire and Lady Gaga, who debuted her new song "Dope."
Nominees in the six categories which include, Video, Artist and YouTube Phenomenon of the Year, include One Direction, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Selena Gomez.

Innovation of the year – DeStorm, “See Me Standingâ€

Artist of the year – Eminem

RESPONSE OF THE YEAR – Lindsey Stirling and Pentatonix, Radioactive
