Armaan Kohli has been taken into custody by Lonavala police tonight. Around 10:30 pm local time, Lonavala police entered the house and arrested Armaan Kohli on the basis of FIR filed by Sofia Hayat at Santa Cruz police station. Sofia alleged that she was manhandled and subjected to uncomplimentary language by Armaan. Vishnu Pawar, inspector, Lonavla city police said, "We obtained the CCTV footage of the bungalow and upon scanning it, we could verify Hayat’s allegations.
Earlier, Arun Chavan,Senior Inspector at Santacruz police station said that Armaan Kohli has been booked under sections 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 504 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) 506 (criminal intimidation) and 354 a (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code.
Sofia Hayat says, "People told me I am doing this for publicity. But I say violence against women isn’t a joke. I don’t need publicity as I am doing well in life. People said nothing would come of it, but I had faith in the system."
Sofia tweeted the news saying, "Omg! I just had a call now….arman Kohli arrested from bb house! Thankyou guys for all your support..you made me stronger and gave me the love to do huh is. I love you."
She plans to sue Colors TV channel as her contract, which states that she would not be harmed physically, was violated.
Sofia Hayat was evicted from Bigg Boss 7 house, couple of weeks back. During her stay in Bigg Boss house, she has an arguments with fellow contestants Tanishaa, Ajaz Khan but her arguments with Armaan Kohli allegedly turned ugly and violent, especially during "Who can stay in Car for long time" task. During fight, the mob which was in Armaan hand touched/hit Sofia’s face.

His journey in Bigg Boss started on a very good note of strong bond between him, Kaamya and Pratyusha. But the wall between Heaven and Hell was too strong for this bond. It eventually broke and he started his new friendship with Tanisha.
