Our evergreen beauty Rekha will soon be seen in a TV serial titled Ganga ki Deej playing a Thakurain. Serial is produced by Harry Baweja.
Kabir Bedi will be playing a Thakur opposite Rekha only if she agrees to do the show. The talks with Madam Re are still on. Meanwhile, the other actors are being finalised. Doesn’t matter who else is in the show, if Rekha signs on the dotted line, it would be a coup of sorts.
It’s a very tough job to convince Rekha to do a TV. But I think she should consider this for her fans who will be very happy to see her on a daily basis. What say Rekha? Think about it! We are dying to see you in your heavy makeup and sarees, which only you can carry graciously.
After all, rumours of Rekha doing television have been on for years now. In fact in an interview early last year Rekha had said that since there was a demand for her to be on television, she was contemplating taking the plunge.
“I’ve already formulated what I want to do. It’s nothing that has been seen on television before. No talk show or game show for me, thanks. It’s something entirely unique. But until I decide on the channel and other details, I’d like to keep it under wraps. As you know this world is filled with clones, copycats and wannabes,†she had said.
