My review on Johnny Gaddaar and Dil Dosti Etc

November 8th, 2007

Johnny Gaddaar, beautiful and fantastic thriller. Neil Nitin Mukesh handsome hunk, ekdum chikna! It’s been two days I have seen the movie but I am still stuck at dub jaa mere pyaar main and I love singing it loud, Pradeep is getting annoyed with me now.

Superb Film and the way it is done and presented is beautiful. At the start of the film it was clear who the culprit is, still the film was able to keep you nail biting till end.

Neil resembles Hrithik Roshan in looks and dance. It’s a very small scene where he enters his apartment and puts on his stereo for song dub jaa mere pyaar main and the way he moves on that song was Wow! It looked like Hrithik is dancing. I hope he gets more chance to show his talent and make place for himself in Bollywood.

Other all actors like Dharmendra, Vinay Pathak (my favourite), Zakir Hussain and Daya Shetty are superb too. I don’t have to say anything about their performances, they all are very good actors. Rasika Joshi (Daya Shetty’s mother) is remarkable, I love her from Bhool Bhulaiyaa and now you can see her in every second film. She is too good.

Synopsis:

The story starts with one of the gang members Seshadri (Dharmendra) getting an offer to make a fortune in four days. All the five gang members are up for it as they all want to make quick money. The youngest member of the gang Vikram (Neil Nitin Mukesh) plans to disappear to some unknown city and start his own life with his love Mini (Rimi Sen), when a devilish thought crosses his mind. What if he grabs the entire jackpot? Vikram decides to double cross his partners.

Vikram accidentally ends up eliminating every one in his gang. There’s yet another twist in the tale at the end…….for that you have to see the movie.
Four stars to Johnny Gaddaar!

Dil Dosti Etc:

Dil, Dosti etc another beautiful film with class actors. Specially Sheryas Talpade and Imaad Shah, son of Naseeruddin Shah. Like father like son, Imaad is wonderful he reminds me of Naseerudin Shah in film Mandi.

Film is all about casual sex and forces you to think if it really means nothing to have sex with your best buddy’s girlfriend. Can you face your friend and say to him “it meant nothing” after you have had sex with his lover. This careless character is very well played by Imaad Shah and man with values is played by Shreyas Talpade. It’s a must watch movie, I think all the teenagers should go for it.
