The beautiful, sensuous, tragedy queen Meena Kumari will now have postal stamps issued in her honour on February 13. Also Nutan, Savitri, Devika Rani, Kanan Devi all considered beautiful women of Indian Cinema will be immortalized on stamps.
Earlier, Nargis and Madhubala were immortalized on stamps.
Senior official of the Indian Postal Department said:
"Indian Cinema will form a prominent feature of the exhibition where in postal stamps of other legendary actors like Raj Kapoor and Guru Dutt will be exhibited,".
Apart from this, postal services have launched a new scheme ‘My Stamp’ where in any individual can get personalised stamp by paying Rs.150.
