Filming has just started for Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, but Johnny Depp decided to give fans a treat by dressing up as Captain Jack Sparrow to introduce the new Pirates of the Caribbean film in a new trailer.
"You may have heard whisperings and rumours that Captain Jack Sparrow be recruiting a crew, to undertake a voyage to the fountain of youth – Not true! Course not!" he said in the two-minute teaser trailer screened at San Diego’s Comic-Con.
Penelope Cruz has already been confirmed as his co-star in the fourth instalment of the popular franchise.
She plays his woman from his past and the captain can’t decide if it’s real, or if she’s just using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth.
The adventure kicks off when she forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of pirate Blackbeard (played by former Lovejoy star Ian McShane).
Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will be released on May 20, 2011.
