Review hmm! Awarapan, shitest movie of Mahesh Bhatt. I actually went to the counter and asked the man on the counter to return my money…..in a funny tone. He started laughing, because he was “angrez†he said “didn’t you like the movie, Awaarapaaaanâ€, which made me laugh loud. Jokes apart……the film was really pathetic.
I pity Pakistani’s, poor souls after the official release of films like “Mughal-e-Azam†and “Taj Mahalâ€, Awarapan is the official release in Pakistan. Well I know they will be very much disappointed and will never approve any Bollywood movie again, atleast not any of Mahesh Bhatt’s movie. Incidentally, Awarapan was the first film from the Bhatt camp to have a wide overseas release, courtesy of Studio 18 International.
Stupid ghisi-piti story – Awarapan is the story of Shivam (Emraan), a godless heartbroken lover who, in order to escape from the ghosts of his tragic past, dedicates himself to serving his gangster boss Malik (Ashutosh Rana). When Malik asks him to keep an eye on his young mistress Reema (Mrinalini Sharma), a victim of trafficking, Shivam is reminded of his lost love and how he had failed to save it from a catastrophe. When she plans to run away with her secret boyfriend, Shivam must decide whether to remain loyal to Malik, or take control of his life.
Apne! Actually I was very excited for Deol’s comeback after long time. I thought they must have learnt their lessons and will give us something sensible and memorable. But I don’t think they will ever grow-up, they are good at crying for each other and getting emotional for no reasons.
They should have made funny and light movie for their audience, but they stupidly made this “Boxing†movie which is shit and boring.
An ex-boxer, Baldev Singh Choudhary (Dharmendra), never fulfilled his dreams after being planted with drugs. Wanting to finish the job, he hoped to train his son, Angad (Sunny Deol), but he had other ambitions. Realizing the family is in crises, his younger son Karan (Bobby Deol) gives up his musical career to get into boxing. Winning match after match, everything is great until he ends up in hospital. Baldev is about to lose his son and feels like killing himself. So Angad steps in to bring his father glory. Only Shilpa Shetty was the good thing in the movie.
I had to watch “Khosla Ka Ghosla†to cheer myself up.
And yeah, I have made a promise to myself that I will not see Himesh Reshammiya‘s “Aap Ka Suroor – The Real Luv Story” for two good reasons.
1. I don’t like any singer to act. They remind me of flop Sonu Nigam trying his luck in acting.
2. I haaaaaate Himesh and his cap. I think he is very inconsiderate person. Never seen him with a smile on his face.
