Was so looking forward to Dedh Ishqiya, and the wait was worth. What a comeback for Madhuri! I loved Ishqiya with Vidya Balan in a very bold and raunchy avatar.
So when Madhuri is in sequel with lots of Begum Style, Mujras and Urdu speech, the movie has to be a super hit.
It’s totally my type of movie with strong story and passionate acting. The film have some very interesting dialogues.
Story line:
The story of the film revolves around a middle-aged Begum Para (Madhuri Dixit Nene), who organises a festival of poetry in her town Mahmudabad. She has promised to marry the winner of the competition as it was the last wish of her deceased husband. Khalujaan (Naseeruddin Shah), posing as the Nawab of Chandpur, impresses the widow Begum, but everything changes with the entry of Arshad (Baban).

Madhuri: Apko pahle kahin dekha hai.
Naseeruddin Shah:Yaad aye toh itliah kijiyega. Hum bhi kabse dhund rahe hai apne aap ko.
Yahan libaas ki kimat hai adami ki nahi. Mujhe gilas bada de, sharab kum kar de.
Begum ko koi zayada der dekh le to nazar lag jati hai.
Naam hai ya khazane ka pta.
Jab maine use khaas nigaa se dekha. Tab usne bhi aayina naye andaaz se dekha.
Hum ishq ke satwe mukam pe hai-maut.
Pahli baar samajh nahi aa rha. dekke ayah hun, ya lekke.
Ladkiyan chipakali se darti hai, aur noodles pe marti hai.
Azad hum hue the aur kurbani apne di thi.
Italy ke hai hum. Humari amma aur Soniya ji sath me pade the.
Agar inhone mara toh mar jayega, aur humne mara toh sochega mar jata toh hi behtar tha.
Humara naam ‘Jaan’ hai ‘Para Jaan’, agar aapke liye jaan de sakte hain toh le bhi sakte hai.
