The 56th National Film Awards for 2008 were announced today. Priyanka Chopra was named the Best Actress for her role in Fashion, and the Best Actor Award has been awarded to Upendra Limaye for his stunning act in Marathi film Jogwa. Arjun Rampal and Kangna Ranaut bagged the award for supporting role.
The best Hindi Film award was bagged by Abhishek Kapoor’s Rock On. Abhay Deol starrer Oye Lucky… seized the Popular Film Award and Neeraj Pandey’s A Wednesday was named as the Best Debut Film of 2008.
