Once again the process of owning the two new IPL teams has started, two weeks after the tender process was
cancelled due to poor response. Five bidders had lined up by 5pm on Friday, the cut-off time for submission of bids, to qualify for the auction which will take place on Sunday morning. The bids will be opened in Chennai on Sunday morning and by the afternoon, the winners will be announced. The new owners will join the IPL bandwagon in the 2011 season. Our desi Hockey players are going western ways, following David Beckham and Craig Chappell in showing middle finger to the audience. Prabhjot Singh, who had gone to the mixed zone to interact with the newspersons, suddenly showed his middle finger to the booing fans. Crowd booed the players after India lost to Argentina 2-4 to finish eighth in the 12-team Hockey World Cup. As the Indian players came for the post-match presentation at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, some fans started to abuse players. Sachin Tendulkar did it again! Sachin almost top all the records now. He made 200 runs in 146 balls with 25 fours and three sixes and guided India to 401 for three in 50 overs against South Africa. South Africa was bowled out for 248 runs in 42.5 overs as A.B. de Villiers remained unbeaten on 114. South Africa, who holds the world record of the highest ODI chase, started in a poor way as they lost Herschelle Gibbs (7) in the third over and there on kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Now, we don’t know the real story but its official that Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders has drop the idea to appoint the Lux cozi as the official apparel franchisee of the team. It is said that a letter to Shah Rukh Khan is the reason behind it. Possibly SRK did not want to get into another controversy after all that MNIK did to him, so he calmly decided to backout from the Lux Cozi underwear. live on the internet. Google will partner with the IPL and show all matches of the 2010 season on a dedicated YouTube channel. First of its kind! As we all know our master blaster Sachin Tendulkar is the 2009 celebrity from India to be turned into wax statue for London’s Madame Tussaud. And thank God this time the celebrity is not someone from bollywood! If I am not wrong Sachin Tendulkar’s wax statue was suppose to unveil on this Easter but there’s no sign of it. Guess we have to wait little more. Tendulkar’s statue will be featured in typical celebratory “on the pitch†pose after another century marked in the scorebook. Remember this post! Yes! Our Meena Barot (36) made it through online votes. She was selected to carry the torch on Monday, July 7 in the Chinese city of Lanzhou in Gansu. Just a day before the relay, Barot received instructions along with the 296 runners who were to run on the day. Barot was the eleventh runner in the relay.
